Hi and welcome to my website!
I, Kirsten Bronsveld-Rustenburg (1977) am married to Arjan. Together we have three children (David, Lars and Meike). We live in beautiful Dalarna in Sweden.
After high school, I studied English att the teachers training college in Rotterdam. I really enjoyed working at a school for special education and completed my Special Educational Degree. In Sweden I worked as an English teacher and later as an Special Educational teacher and assistant principal at a secondary school in Ludvika Kommun.
In 2012 I had TEN (Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis), a life-threatening allergic reaction to a drug. In just a few days I lost 65% of my skin. A series of medical and psychological traumas followed (an inner tornado) that caused me enormous fear and sadness for ten years. When I broke my ankle during a holiday , this turned out to be an important moment in my healing process. I managed to put all my experiences on paper. The document became a manuscript, the manuscript a book and the Dutch version has been released on Friday, November 17!
In Sweden the book was released on August 22nd.
The English version with the title ‘An Inner Tornado’ became available on Amazon September 9th 2024.
